Health benefits through cleaner air

The air in the Netherlands has become much cleaner in recent decades. Nevertheless, air pollution still makes a significant contribution to morbidity and mortality. At the request of the State Secretary for Infrastructure and the Environment (currently Infrastructure and Water Management) the Committee on Air Quality has evaluated what is known about the health effects of exposure to air pollution and what, from a health benefit perspective, are starting points for policy to improve air quality.
