Kaoline; Health-based recommended occupational exposure limit

Kaoline is een klei-mineraal dat wordt gebruikt bij het maken van keramiek en vuurvaste materialen. Daarnaast wordt het toegepast als vulstof voor onder andere papier, lijm en verf, als coating voor hoogwaardig papier en als middel tegen diarree. Om werknemers die tijdens productieprocessen kaolinedeeltjes inademen zo goed mogelijk te beschermen tegen schadelijke gezondheidseffecten daarvan, is de Gezondheidsraad nagegaan bij welke blootstelling schade kan optreden.
