Workshop on the first advice of the European Science Advisory Network for Health (EuSANH)

22 February 2011

On 7-9 February, European experts on cancer screening implementation met at a 2-day workshop organized by the Swedish EuSANH member SBU in Stockholm. Relevant stakeholders were involved as observers of this expert committee. The workshop was part of the FP7 project Improving science advice for health in Europe and aimed at preparing a first joined science advisory report on ‘Determinants of successful implementation of cancer screening programmes’. Two days hard work resulted in a draft statement and recommendations for national health policy makers. The final report will be published later this year. Moreover, this workshop illustrated the networks' functioning and use of its methodological ‘best practices’.
