Route

The Health Council is located in the Ministry of Health, Welfare & Sport building at Parnassusplein 5, The Hague.

By train

The Hague CS (Central Station) is the terminus for trains from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Zoetermeer. From the Central Station, follow the sign for the ‘Ministerie van VWS’. Walk under the Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning & the Environment (VROM). Across the bridge, turn right on to Zwarteweg. After about 30 metres, turn left on to Parnassusplein. The main entrance to the Ministry of Health, Welfare & Sport (VWS) is on the right-hand side of this square.

By bus/tram

Many trams, urban buses and inter-urban buses stop at the Central Station, as do two “interliners” (380 and 382). From Den Haag CS, follow the pedestrian route to the city centre (see “By train”).

By car

From Utrecht

Take the A12 in the direction of Prins Clausplein and continue into the centre of The Hague. Leave the A12 at exit 2 (Den Haag centrum). At the end of the slip road, turn left on to the Prins Bernard- viaduct. At the end of the viaduct get in the left-hand lane, and at the traffic lights double back to the left. Take the service road parallel to the viaduct and follow the “Helicon” sign. Turn left under the viaduct on to the Oranje Buitensingel. Then immediately turn left over the arch bridge. The entrance to the “Helicon” car park is next to the tram viaduct. If this car park is full, you can park in the nearby Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning & the Environment (VROM) car park or in any of the other car parks in the vicinity.

From Amsterdam and Rotterdam

Take the A4 in the direction of Prins Clausplein. At Prins Clausplein turn on to the A12 in the direction of Den Haag centrum. Then continue as for “From Utrecht”.
